After I downloaded the Bootie 2006 Mashup album I opened the mp3s in MP3Tag to check the tags and they were all cut off at 30 characters. I assumed the tags were no good so I hand fixed them and blogged about it. I have had this problem in the past wit

Hi there...Bootie here.
Wondering what problem you're having with the ID tags. Since mashups and bootlegs are sort of what we "do" for a living (for about 5 years now), we're hyper-aware fo the necessity of good tagging. In fact, it's a personal pet peave when people tag their stuff poorly. We're using Media Rage from Chaotic Software to tag everything, and that includes artwork (even the album cover should be tagged on every track), full comments, full track names, etc. We specifically bought a piece of software (Media rage) just to work with ID-tags (and this was a very recent purchase). Please email us and let us know what problem you're having so we can troubleshoot it. We've only had one other person say they had a problem, which we still haven't fully resolved. Hundreds (if not thousands at this point) haven't had any problems though. However, we'd still like to know what issues you are experiencing so we can fix it if possible! Thanks, A+D |
