I love Colbert to pieces, but when he invites someone who actually has something to say and wants to explain it, he should just keep the pie hole shut, listen and learn.
People just -cannot- deal with the fact of there not being a god. It scares them senseless and they won't hear any argument, however kindly worded, that would shock their fragile view of the world.
-THAT- is why the world if so full of religious hatred these days. Entousuastic people, every last one of them, so little able/willing to just sit down and think for themselves for a change. I am so not going to start about Intelligent Design...

While I agree that he interrupts too often, the thing to remember is that this is a comedy show, not a news show. Part of what is supposed to make it funny is that Stephen pretends to be an asshole.
