Tonight I wired up the lights.
The sidecar has a taillight that has a dual filament bulb - so it can be a running light and a brake light - but it would be tricky to use it as a turn signal also since the bike is not wired that way.
So I thought about adding some LEDs to the tail light to use as a turn signal - which might have been cool, but a little bit of work.
Then I remembed that I bought some Lockhart flush mounted turn signals for a different bike a long time ago and never used them. The sidecar has holes fore and aft for lights. Cool! Turn signals fore and aft!
So I did that. It's got cool looking turn signals on it and the standard tail light and front running light.
So the wiring is all done.
No pictures today, I'm lazy.
Update:
I also spent more money today. I bought a new turnsignal on ebay to replace the busted right front one and I bought a steering damper for a '74 VW Beetle to try and get rid of the headshake.
I'm still under the $1000.00 budget, but not by much. I'm going to have to buy some mounting hardware for the damper, but I still am optimistic that I can stay under $1000.00. Barely. :)
