I re-read the installation manual yesterday and realized that I had done a couple things wrong, so I unhooked the sidecar and re-did all the attachments. This time I got smart and propped it up at the right height using blocks of wood and my floor jack - much easier.

I also went to the hardware store and bought a bunch of new bolts and nuts and cotter pins to hook it up with. Some of the old bolts were pretty chewed up.

After I got it all hooked up, I had to take it for a spin! So I took it out around the block a couple of times. I am pleased to say that the motorcycle fired right up and ran great.

I have to say that driving a sidecar is nothing like riding a motorcycle. It's odd.

And I have an issue to sort out. At about 20 MPH there is a pretty severe headshake. This is not unexpected, but I do need to address it. I know I need to check the steering head bearings and tighten them up, but I'm also going to have to add a steering damper.

I still need to wire up the electrics for the sidecar, but I think I have that all sussed out.
